The natives of Australia, the aborigines, were the first who used the returning boomerang, mostly in sport. It is similar to an airplane because its two arms are curved in opposite direction. Boomerangs are thrown with a twisting movement; it flies through the air and rotates simultaneously. The speed of it keeps it rotating. Once the force has lessened, it stops its flight but still rotates. The force of the boomerang’s weight and the rotating movement allow it to come back to the place where it started.
